On Saturday, July 8, the Reverend John Taylor will be ordained as the Bishop Coadjutor of the Diocese of Los Angeles … meaning he will succeed our Diocesan Bishop Jon Bruno when he retires in December. We are delighted that one of his last stops before he begins his ministry as a bishop will be here at All Saints Church on Sunday, June 18th, when he will be both in the pulpit (at 9:00 & 11:15 a.m.* and at 1:00 p.m.) and in the Rector’s Forum (10:15 a.m.*) *join us via live-streaming

June is a full, rich month of celebration and inspiration at All Saints Church — with a diverse line up of preachers in the ASC pulpit. Youth Sunday, Pride Sunday, a visit from our Bishop Coadjutor-elect and a historic “joint sermon” by two beloved staff members … you’re not going to want to miss a thing!
Here’s the chance to add your voice to the Search Process!
The Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles is searching for a new bishop! Bishop Jon Bruno has announced his intention to retire in 2018 … and so the process of searching for his successor has begun. The Search Committee charged with bringing forward candidates to stand for election has created an online survey to continue the “listening process” that began earlier this summer with a series of meetings throughout the diocese.
The Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles is searching for a new bishop! Bishop Jon Bruno has announced his intention to retire in 2018 … and so the process of searching for his successor has begun. Part of that process is a series of “listening sessions” convened by the Diocesan Search Committee and held at various venues around the diocese. And All Saints Church is hosting one on Sunday, July 26 from 2-4pm.
It’s time for Episcopal Night at Dodger Stadium again, set this year for Friday, September 18, with the Dodgers taking on the Pittsburgh Pirates! IF enough tickets are sold, our own Bishop Mary Glasspool will be on the mound for the first pitch: so we want to do our All Saints Church part to make that happen!
The following prayer was offered by transitional deacon and All Saints member Nat Katz at the 119th Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles.
O God, who lifts the valleys and levels the hills,
In this season of Advent
lift us up as we dare to live into our calling
as a people of memory and of imagination
We remember the heritage of our past
we awake to our present
and we look with hope to the future horizon
