Every three years the Episcopal Church meets for its General Convention — nine days of liturgy, legislation and shopping all under one big roof. This year we met in Salt Lake City — June 25-July 3 — and actions included electing the first ever African-American Presiding Bishop, a massive march to end gun violence and legislation ranging from approving marriage equality to divesting from fossil fuels to revising the prayer book.
Join Jim White, chair of the deputation from the Diocese of Los Angeles, and Susan Russell, coordinator of the legislative team on LGBT inclusion resolutions, as they give a behind-the-scenes report on what happened, what happens next and what it all means for All Saints Church.
Sunday, July 12 during the 10:15 a.m. Education Hour. In Sweetland Hall.
