Sunday, April 24
John Muir not only influenced the creation of America’s National Park system, founded the Sierra Club and helped move the environmental movement into the mainstream. John Muir was also a natural mystical theologian.
As part of our Earth Day celebration on Sunday, April 24 Bud Williams will present an adult education offering examining the pivotal moment which led to Muir’s spiritual awakening and reflect on some of his most mystical writings.
Bud Williams — one of our Adjunct Clergy — is spending time in his retirement exploring two of his passions: spirituality and wilderness. He is in training to be a Master Desert Naturalist in Joshua Tree National Park and will soon be rated to lead Sierra Club trips.
Join him in Sweetland Hall, Sunday April 24 from 10:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
