Kenneth Turan: “Film Critic in Residence”

Sunday, February 7

Kenneth Turan — our All Saints “Film Critic in Residence” — returns to the Rector’s Forum at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, February 7th for his annual look at films in general and the upcoming Oscars in particular.

In addition to having been an acclaimed film critic for the Los Angeles Times since 1971, Turan can be heard on NPR’s Morning Edition and KUSC-FM’s Arts Alive. He also directs the Los Angeles Times Book Prizes. Not only does he help us sort through the films nominated for best picture and the various women and men nominated for acting and directing, he loves answering your questions.

Ken Turan’s visit to the Rector’s Forum is always a highlight (and one of the highest attended of the year!) — and this year we have the added layer of a heightened awareness of the lack of diversity in the 2015 slate of Oscar nominees to discuss. Join us for what promises to be both an enlightening and entertaining conversation.
